My Life

Testimony

My Dad is the Pastor in Viroqua, and I have always heard the Bible growing up in a Christian home. I didn't truly get saved until last year on November 8, 1999. I was siting in chapel and all I could think about is that I wasn't really saved, but I was too scared to admit to everyone that I wasn't saved, since everyone thought I had been saved for years. I went to Chris and Steph and told them that I needed to get saved. We went into Pastor Ross' office and that day I was saved. I know now that I will go to Heaven when I die.

Plans/Hopes for future

My plans are to attend Bob Jones University in South Carolina the fall of 2001. I will be majoring in Secondary Phisical Education and minoring in Coaching. I would love to coach Volleyball!

Interests

My interests are mainly sports. I love to play Volleyball and Basketball! I also love spending time with my close friends on the weekends.

Funniest/most embarrassing moment:

We have this home video of me from when I was five years old. My brother, John, was singing "Jesus Loves Me" and during the chorus, one can hear me in the background falling off a high chair. It was kinda like this: "...yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus..." "WHOAHHH!!!!!" "...oves me." My dad, who was recording the whole ordeal, whisked over to the chair and asked "Hey, Amy, where are you?" Then he put the camera towards the floor where I was sitting, crying. He asked in a loving way, "Are you all right?" "No!" I whined. "Where does it hurt?" In answer to this very pointed question, I pointed to myself in a very inappropriate way! You can watch it on video, if you like. It's at all major movie rental outlets.(Jesse Adams is the one who wrote this, not me!)

Which classes/teachers have made the biggest difference in your life.

All of them have been special to me in different ways.

Pastor Ross- He came to Faith the same year as me. My Freshman year. He has been my volleyball coach for four years, and during those four years I have learned so much about volleyball and about God. I will never forget all the fun times at school with him!

Mr. LaFleur- I've known Mr.L. for a long time! He was my teacher since 6th grade. You can always come to him with your opinion and know that he will listen to you. He is also very caring toward all of his students as though they were his own!

Mrs. Terpstra- She has been my English Teacher for four years. When I came to this school I didn't have a clue how to use correct English! She has taught me so much these last four years! Thanks Mrs. T.!

Thank you for all the great memories!

Favorite Bible verses

My life verse is Phil. 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.

Favorite subject/class in school

I really don't have a favorite class! My teachers know that I don't like school, but if I was going to pick one it would have to be English. I'm not the greatest at it, but Mrs. Terpstra really tries to make English fun to learn. Sometimes it is not always fun! And Mrs. Terpstra knows how we all truly feel!!
